Listed below are some of those areas:
- Is there at least 4 inches, (it should be 6") of foundation showing above the grade level around the house?
- Are mortar joints between courses of brick, (including the joint between the foundation & 1st course of brick) covered over by soil or mulch?
- Is there displacement between adjacent slabs of concrete where one slab has been heaved up or settled?
- Is the grading level around the house or does it slope toward the house?
